Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine shop employing just 4 people. Overall sales for that initial year amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and different parts. Throughout 5 years of operation, the business had stretched to forty employees and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. Now, Cascade is one of the leading worldwide manufacturers within the material handling trade.
Manufacture and design of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business possibilities. Over the past 60 years, the material handling industry has grown into a highly sophisticated field and Cascade has proudly played a part in this improvement. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the leader provider of lift truck accessories and numerous related items. The business feels confident in their potential to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding customer's requirements in the future and remaining aggressive within the international market.
In the nineteen fifties, Cascade began designing, manufacturing and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was done in 1956 on a new office to be able to house all plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Following 15 years of business, total employees reached one hundred eighty workers and sales had reached nearly $2,300,000.
In the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio a second production plant was built. The year 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the global world of the material handling industry as the business established interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.
In 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in the year 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the continental USA to the places Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are made worldwide due to lots of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European head office. This facility is built to be the ultimate customer service centre.
Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and the year 1997 after buying five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international best in blades.
